Dimmu Borgir Stood Triumphant On Colorado Grounds.

August 18, 2026 in the heart of Denver, Colorado the maelstroms of Norge black metal, Dimmu Borgir delivered a magnificent performance. Their long awaited return, both on tour and new album was welcomed gratefully.

The venue, the Misson Ball Room in Denver, Colorado was unaware of the darkness that was about to befall it. The masses gathered, and chanted along to anthems written before in a cold winter Norge night. A new line up with fresh blood and classic riffs set foot on stage and delivered a magical night. Silenoz and Shagrath, the last two Dimmu forefathers came and made a statement. Their godly presence hypnotized those who have worshiped their black melodic music. The black metal essence entered the venue and the music played on. The setlist was like no other. Classic songs like “Reptile” and “Stormblast” dominated the night.

A night filled with an ethereal vibe, where Silenoz and Kjell Åge “Damage” Karlsen, delivered magnificent guitar compositions and solos. Behind the drums, cannons were blasted by Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski delivering a debilitating sound. Back tracks of Vortex during titled tracks “Kings of the Carnival Creation”, and “Reptile” enthralled the masses paired with the symphonic sounds played by Geir “Gerlioz” Bratland on keyboards. Norwegian Symphonic sounds resonated across the venue, fans of all ages sang along and headbanged to hymns of malevolence and catharsis. 9 Years after their last show in USA territory they came and conquered sonically.

The sounds of blasphemous lyrics and a symphonic cacophony to some, was sweet music to metalhead’s ears. The entire set was perfectly curated by the masters of black symphonic metal. Dimmu Borgir hypnotized the masses, delivered a raging set. Tracks off their most recent release Grand Serpent Rising, were worshiped by fans as titled track “Ascent” pervaded their minds. Shagrath delivered a symbolic performance and stayed true to his vocals. One thing must be let known, Dimmu Borgir needs to come back again to keep eliciting metalhead’s souls and minds with such powerful deliverance and musical unison.
