Aenimus, the technical death metal purveyors will release their label debut album titled Dreamcatcher via Nuclear Blast Records on February 22nd, 2019. Their album is composed of 11 brutal tracks, horror themed and packed with incredible guitar; and gutturals. The band is not new to the scene, they have had a few line up changes at the beginning of their career but their current members connect and created what will blow you away. Their inhuman attack kicks off the album with the track titled “Before The Eons”, a complete neck breaker. There is a lot of guitar technicality involved in this track alone, a great warm up to start moshing in the pit. This track has an added ambiance back track that lets the song explode in your face sucking you in to the void.
The band has toured with acts like Nuclear Blast’s Rings of Saturn, and I Declare War among many, and they will kick off the year touring with their label mates Fleshgod Apocalypse and Hypocrisy, in the Death… Is Just The Beginning trek. The third track, titled “The Ritual” has all elements to make you wreck some shit up, from clean guitar bridges to the slow tempo solos the track is a perplex creation. The album is composed of interludes, a way to transition from story to story as it is inspired by horror movies like Hannibal and The Shining to name a few. In order to get the full effect you must listen to the entire album and be prepared to get punched in the throat as both bassist and guitarist display a bone cruncher plethora of riffs.
With special guest vocals by Brian James (Fallujah), and Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) among the many artists this album will be a great hit to roll out the new year.
