Earlier this year, metal veterans Cradle of Filth and Devildriver set out on the Double Trouble Live tour. Now for the fall, both bands once again set out to tour for the Double Trouble Live II tour. This time, support would come from Ill Nino, Black Satellite and Savage Existence. The final stop on the tour was the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California. The venue was packed to near max capacity so it was set to be a wild night.

Devil Driver Live Show

With Devildriver’s continual support of their latest release, Dealing with Demons Volume II this tour was set to kick off strong. The venue’s energy and capacity was high as DevilDriver was set to hit the stage, as the crowd cheered and cried with excitement. Devildriver started their show with titled track, “Keep Away from Me” and started delivering their heavy set. The fans showed their appreciation by moshing, raising their horns and banging their heads. Devildriver delivered nothing but pure American groove metal as they played classics and fan-favorites like “Grinfucked,” “Head on to Heartache (Let Them Rot)” and “Ruthless.” One of the more fun segments of the show was when they did an Awolnation cover of “Sail.” Some of the crew came out dressed up on lobster suits and danced around on stage. After a few more songs, it was time for their performance to come to an end. The final song of their show was “Clouds Over California.” Devildriver thanked the audience for their support and, of course, welcomed Cradle of Filth who was up next.

Cradle of Filth Guitarists

English extreme metal band, Cradle of Filth, are no strangers to the metal community. In 2021, they released their thirteenth album, Existence Is Futile. They have been heavily touring since their inception and have enamored millions of fans around the world. The lights went out once again and the crowd cheered even louder. After the intro track, Cradle of Filth came out and started their show with “Existential Terror”, the first track from the latest album. Cradle of Filth played fast and loud without missing a beat. Singer Dani Filth would unleash his signature high-pitched shrieks and screams giving their music that traditional Cradle of Filth sound. The fans kept moshing and singing along as Cradle of Filth played hit after hit. Whether you’re a casual fan, new fan, old fan or hardcore fan, you’re guaranteed to have a good time at a Cradle of Filth show. Some of the other hits played included “The Principle of Evil Made Flesh”, “Dusk and Her Embrace and “Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids”. One of the most beautiful songs performed by Cradle of Filth was “Nymphetamine(Fix)”. Keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Marie Federoff sang beautifully. Up next was their most famous song, “Her Ghost in the Fog”. The final song of the night was their usual ending song, “From the Cradle to Enslave“. The show sadly came to end with Filth once again thanking the audience for coming out. It was a great show and one to not have been missed by metalheads.
