The Roxy in Denver, Colorado prepared for a brutal sonic assault; Uada, Cloak, Ghostbath and local opening act Helleborous. The quaint venue was dark and the stage was not ready for such brutality to be displayed.
The opening act for the opening night of Uada’s headlining tour was Helleborous. Their performance was dark and the hymns of black metal played across the venue. Their vigorous guitar riffs and explosive drum work got the night started. Helleborous plays a captivating show, the symphonies capture your soul and enticed each attendee. The band played a malevolent show. There is an aura that permeates the venue, an electric force that came rushing right after Helleborous, it hailed straight from Atlanta.
The second act of the night was non other than spiritual black metal Cloak, this theme does not mean they are dull or mellow; they are the complete opposite. Cloak just delivered their latest black metal submission entitled Black Flame Eternal, via Season of Mist, and their live performance is simply energetic. The musicianship this band delivers will leave you in awe, from ominous guitar riffs to a powerful performance alone Cloak raises hell on stage. The power of each song has a dark force, rendering the soul to momentarily leave the body and see beyond this realm, you’ll see nothing but darkness. The drum work live resonates across the venue, with dark vocals and enigmatic bass work, Cloak will conquer each corner they visit. The majestic sound will perplex you, listening to a blend of thrash metal and black metal will harrow you. Make sure to check out this act live.
The co-headlining band of this tour is Ghost Bath, a post-metal black sonic purveyors. The genre, suicidal black metal, the sound aggressive, dark and ominous. Ghost Bath plays a tantalizing show, a blood red setting, and gruesome riffs convey pure mayhem. Ghost Bath incorporates keyboards and eerie sounds complimented by heavy drum work and intense vocals. Their energy on stage is ravaging and the audience headbanged to each track performed by Ghost Bath. A requiem of death.
The headliner, Portland, Oregon natives and black metal purveyors Uada brought pure ominous sounds. The band Uada, has toured world wide and they started their North American trek on August 30th, in Denver, Co. The band recently released their latest dark hymns entitled Crepescule Natura, it delivers five impending tracks. The band played their most poignant tracks, with relentless energy and harmonies that opened a gate to hell. Uada plays unapologetically on stage, surrounded by darkness, they delivered vicious metal to lovers of the dark arts. The unique sound prevails across the venue, leaving fans in a trance. The band played ferociously on stage and surrendered their soul, Colorado is not ready for such act to deliver dark visions and brutal sounds. Uada, Cloak and Ghost Bath will continue their tour and some recent changes in the Uada family happened without anyones control but the show will go on.
