A generation raised by rock & roll and classic rock is carrying the sounds of many bands, acts like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Scorpions and such. These bands are being payed homage by those who they inspired to play rock and roll, a generation that grew up in the 90’s and even the 80’s. Acts like The Wicked Wizzards of Ozz are replicating songs composed eras before them by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. This band is hailing from Los Angeles, an ensemble that displays complete understanding and love for the sounds of Ozzy Osbourne and gang.

On August 12th, 2023 the quaint bar Supply and Demand was blown away by the sounds of The Wicked Wizzardz of Ozz. The band mastered songs like Mr. Crowley and No More Tears to execute with passion, calling them a cover band would be an insult, they breath and bleed Ozzy Osbourne’s music; lets call them a tribute band. From the introduction of classics like the ones above mentioned, not only are the instruments on point, their frontman Damian Rejon is on point with timing and his vocals mimic that of Ozzy. A grandeur sound emanates from a shrieking guitar played by Conan, who is the riff master and lyrical created of Exmortus. Something that will enamor any Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s fan is the ability by The Wicked Wizzard of Ozz has to replicate the sound, play it the way it is without any additional notes; sometimes you just want to hear a song the way it should be played.

The Wicked Wizzardz of Ozz bring the heat on stage, from the drum work to killer baselines and phenomenal vocals you almost feel like you are watching the Hispanic Ozzy Osbourne on stage. Front man Damian Rejon emanates Ozzy Osbourne’s energy as well as his phenomenal vocals interacting with the crowd, all he needs is a bucket of water and Sharon on the sideline. On bass, Aldo, delivers heavy notes and gives the band the dark sound they need to deliver an exceptional performance. Drummer Adrian Aguilar plays savagely and is energetic while delivering a perfect performance, not many drummers rock out the way he does a truly amazing experience to watch live. The execution of guitar riffs composed by Randy Roads, and Zack Wylde, is flawless by Conan. His ability to shred is fantastic, and he does not miss a note. The band plays a tribute to Ozzy effortlessly, and with the fans headbanging off the stage the night was certainly filled with rock & roll, make sure to check this band out live and keep an eye for any upcoming show here.
