Thursday January 21st was the first day of NAMM,for those of you familiar with this convention you know its all about the business. However metal heads look at it from the entertainment perspective. When can you meet some of your favorite artist? Besides backstage experiences and other album promotional signings, well NAMM is the answer.  

 Here you will see artists like Angel Vivaldi and Jason of Angel Vivaldi just walking around trying out new guitars by Gibson, or even Jackson. Artists like Bill Hudson of Trans-Siberian Orchestra performed at the ESP booth with a riveting guitar set showcasing an amazing ESP guitar with EMG pick ups,top of the line gear. During his set, Bill Hudson performed his favorite song named Paco- after his beloved dog, a bitching song.  

 Ofcourse We witnessed Javier Reyes of Mestis and Animals as Leaders a progressive metal band, performed with 8-string using his LTD Signature Series JR-608g a new watzz something no one has heard yet. The sound was amazing, ESP sure knows how to build a guitar and with these performers showcasing their gear their market will get stronger. 

  At the Fishman booth we caught Russ Parrish of Stell Panther, who shredded with the Fishman Pick ups and Fishman amp. Russ Parrish allowed anyone from the audience play the guitar. The brave ones that went up to try his guitar were amazing and they showed great potential for some more metal music to come in a near future.
