Decibel is honored to reveal that blackened old-school miscreants Midnight, Arizona desert death dealers Gatecreeper and rising California death crew Necrot have joined the lineup of Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly at the Fillmore Philadelphia on April 3-4, 2020.

They will unify an already-stacked bill featuring extreme metal legends Napalm Death performing a special one-time-only set of exclusively Harmony Corruption and Utopia Banished songs, and Converge playing their metallic hardcore landmark album Jane Doe in its entirely for their first time ever in North America. If that wasn’t enough, grinding heroes Pig Destroyer will help presenting sponsors Relapse Records celebrate their 30th anniversary with the first-ever performance of PD‘s game-changing Prowler in the Yard record!

This also marks the Metal & Beer Fest return of Norwegian black metal godfathers Mayhem, with first-time appearances from Norwegian black metal icon Abbath, New Wave of British Heavy Metal heroes Satan, heavy metal revivalists Night Demon, goth-infused metal upstarts Idle Hands, quickly rising old-schoolers Haunt, New England doom lords Magic Circle and Seattle funeral doom crushers Un, who round out the lineup.

Of course, the lineup of the world’s most metal breweries has also expanded! Brimming Horn Meadery (DE) and Lionshead (PA) have joined the festivities as featured breweries, while Metal Monkey (IL), Nightmare Brewing Company (NY), Cosmic Eye Brewing (NE), Zeroday Brewing Company (PA), and Soundgrowler Brewing Co. (IL) will be dispensing the nation’s most brutal brews.

The entire beer lineup is once again presented by Broken Goblet Brewing (PA) with an appearance from featured brewery Wake Brewing (IL). Three Floyds (IN), Hammerheart (MN), Tired Hands (PA), Adroit Theory (VA), Blake’s Hard Cider (MI), Burial Beer Co. (NC), Oliver Brewing Co. (MD), Yards (PA) and Goldhorn Brewery (OH), will also join us in Philly!
