Saxon Announces Second Single and Lyric Video to Track Titled- “They Played Rock n Roll” |

With a British invasion tour up around the corner, Saxon is teaming up with Judas Priest to deliver what is known as the heavy metal of ages. Saxon is unleashing a new album titled Thunderbolt out via Silver Lining Music on February 2nd. Make sure to check this video out of their single titled “They Played Rock n Roll” below.

As you can see, this is a tribute song to the legendary rock n roll masters, Motorhead. After having toured with them multiple times now that all original members of Motorhead are gone, this song hits where it has to, with magnificent guitar solos and great vocals Saxon delivers a powerful rendition. ‘Thunderbolt’ will feature original Artwork by long time Saxon collaborator Paul Raymond Gregory.

Three weeks later, the band will be embarking on the first leg of the Thunderbolt 2018 European Tour followed by a North American tour as special guests to Judas Priest.

Since the 1970s Saxon has shown their ability to take rock ‘n’ roll and give it an electrifying edge which has since cemented their status as pioneers of the British heavy metal wave. With over twenty studio albums under their belt, Saxon has made their steadfast dedication to creating a dynamic body of a work a staple of their career.
