Warbeast, a band who currently had to part ways involuntarily with their lead singer Bruce Corbitt is going to release a magnum opus with their album titled Enter The Arena. This record’s title describes exactly what you will be doing as soon as you click play on that player. This ambitious and masterfully executed record will blow your mind, it is Warbeast at their best. The album takes you by the throat and drags you along beds of nails from the beginning to the end. The first track titled “Centuries of Poisoned Soil” has a relentless sound, the guitars are violent and fast tempo. All, while the drums devastate you with explosions like hand grenades. The track explodes in your face in minute 2:30 with a perplex guitar solo. The sound created by Warbeast is not an imitation of early thrash bands, it is their unique take of thrash metal with a blend of death metal and intense riffs.

Despite falling a vessel to disease, Bruce Corbitt delivers a magnificent performance in this studio album. If you are looking for punishment in the pit make sure to check out track “Orchestration of Violence”. The sounds of brutality will hit your ear as you rage on. The vocals by Bruce Corbitt are profound, with rage and yearn to cause damage on the psyche. Bruce Corbitt delivered a phenomenal gore during this track and the rest of the album, the style and rhythm by his vocals make each song pleasurable. The fluidity on the introduction to the “Maze of The Minotaur” has the choppiness Testament delivers in some earlier work, with that non-stop drum work by Joey Gonzales, and the guitars giving you their heaviest tone and speed. Simply delightful to the ear. The self titled track “Enter The Arena” has a heavy metal sound, with a perfectly delivered whammy bar pull, some guitar effects, then plunges into the abyss of violent overture. A three minute song, filled with aggressiveness, metal riffs, raw vocals and a profound bass line pairing up with catastrophic drums. This album gives you all you want, violent sounds, killer lyrics and vocals of a vicious demon expelling his rage on the mic. The album was recorded at Anselmo’s Nosferatu’s Lair, mixed by Mike Thompson at the Riff Factory and masters by Lee Russell. The record Enter The Arena will be out on August 4th, via Housecore Records.

A few words by Bruce Corbitt in regards of the decision to part ways with Warbeast-

“After much discussion with the doctors and specialist, they’ve told me there’s no chance within any reasonable time that I’ll ever be able to perform again. So it breaks my heart at this time that I’m forced to announce my retirement from singing. I’m sorry to all of my bandmates for letting them down. I’m devastated with all of this hitting me so fast. I’m still in shock. Thanks for all of the great support all these years,” he continues. “You’re the best fans and I love all of you! We at least have a great WARBEAST album and music video coming soon. I can’t even begin to explain my feelings. You guys have given me the strength I need to even prepare for this fight. Honestly, I was close to losing hope that there was any good to come out of this. Of course, I’m scared for my life like any normal human being would be. Those moments when I can get on Facebook and scroll through all of your messages, the emotion takes over. I cry, I get stronger, I also realize what all of you mean to me. I do believe in the power prayer and positive vibes. And I have all of you to thank for that.”

A special fund to help with the Corbitt family’s escalating medical expenses has been set up. To donate visit THIS LOCATION.
