Abhorrent- Violent Debut “Intransigence”

abhorrent_v2_2Abhorrent debut album, Intransigence, was released on November 20th, 2015 via Willowtip Records. The record was mastered and mixed by Mike Garrison at Sound Crater Recording. The album is composed with ten of the most brutal, technical and insidious songs a band of this caliber could only conjure. This Texan band will give you a small taste of their southern roots, and they made a goliath of an album; just like all Texan products. A full line up, with some special appearances from brutalizers of The Black Dahlia Murder (Trevor Strnad), Malcom Pugh (Inferi, A Loathing Requiem), and Antonio Ascencio (Serocs) compiles this brutal record. Tracks like- “Clarity of Will” are going to lacerate your ear, and stomp on your bleeding head as you squirm listening to their vivacious lyrics, flexible guitar riffs, powering bass beats and musically acrobatic drum blasts.

The band  was spawned from ashes of bands like – Spawn Of Possession, Absurdist and The Faceless in 2007. Both guitarist, Marlon Friday and drummer Lyle Cooper created this butchery sound. This duo gives you powerful sounds reminiscing those of Suffocation, and Hate Eternal with a modern tech death metal violence. The creator of the universe intended it to happen this way, as the band released their debut full length decapitating album- Intransigence, after a three song demo released in 2009, followed by a confusing hiatus. The viciousness on track “A Lightness Of Mind” leaves you in aw and possibly a broken jaw, the introduction alone with that hammering on that sweet riff and heavy drums is intriguing. As the song continues, the intensity grows compelling your mind to navigate the dark halls of the asylum, looking for that moment of enlightenment, but simply see darkness. If you are a bass fan, check out the sound on this baby during minute 2:20. Chaotic, explosive and painful, this song- A Light Of Mind” will bend your impure mind. San Antonio, Texas had this sound festering in their vault, once released it will conquer the masses. Check out the act Abhorrent, and be ready to ravage as you listen to Intransigence.
